Getting started as an RU Author is easy. Simply follow this walkthrough and you will be on your way. If you have any questions, please don’t hesitate to contact us.


Step 1: Fill out the RU Author form to receive login and authorship credentials.

Step 2: We will respond within 24-48 hours regarding your acceptance.

Step 3: If accepted, we will email your temporary password. Upon logging in for the first time, change your password on your Profile Page. Make sure to hit the “Update Profile” button at the bottom of the page in order to save the changes.

Step 4: After hitting the “Update Profile” button you will be taken to your “Dashboard”. Please notice the highlighted text “Posts” and “Events” in the image below. If you would like to add a post simply click on Posts and then select “Add New”. This will take you to the post creation page.

Step 5: Add a Title for the posts (see image below). Under the Title is where you enter the content of the article.

Please make sure to select a Category based on the Resource you are writing. Mulitple category selections are fine, such as “Mental Health” under both Adult Resources and Child and Family Resources.

When done, please make sure to hit the “Submit For Review” button on the right. This will post your article in a queue and notify the site administrators to review and submit your article.  Please make sure to enter all information regarding your name, agency name and contact information so the community is aware of your contribution.

Please note: You can also add your agency Events in the manner demonstrated in this walkthrough.

What Happens Next:

The site administrators will be notified you have submitted your article. We will read the article and make sure it meets our Guidelines. If the article meets the guidelines we will also choose an appropriate image to correspond with the article. If revisisons are necessary we will email you and begin the revision process.
